Benjarong Village, Blue & White Factory and the Rose Garden

The American Women's Club in Bangkok hosts various tours each month.  In August, I went on a tour of the Benjarong Village, Blue & White Factory and the Rose Garden.  The Benjarong Village makes the most beautiful porcelian pieces - everything is handcrafted and hand painted.  The Blue & White Factory makes pottery and again it is all done by hand.  The Rose Garden is where we had lunch at as it is a very nice resort.  They had an elephant show, snake show, floating markets and shops.  It was very beautiful there and they had the most beautiful flowers.  Enjoy!

Two of their artists hard at work.....pay special attention to the guy....

Here is a close up of the piece that he is hand painting.....it will soon look like.......

Pieces inside the gift shop for sale!!!

I REALLY like this piece - perhaps someone will buy it for me for a special occasion...hint hint hint.....

Some pieces came in sets in very nice boxes....

Another set...

And a final set - very nice tea and dessert set - perhaps I'll get one before moving on from Thailand - but I want a different color.....

Some finished pieces at the Blue & White Factory Gift shop.

I thought this was very pretty....

And I loved how they turned this beautiful piece into a table!

Flowers at the Rose Garden - believe these are banana leaves?

Pretty building at the Rose Garden.  Someone told me this is the Chiang Mai style buildings.
